Jonsson Workwear is a global business, supplying quality garments to local and international markets. Their Distribution Centre based in Johannesburg has the capacity to move 20 million pieces annually. They are a 24hr/day 6day week operating business.
Due to the rising costs of electricity and high dependence on diesel generators to keep operations going we installed this system to alleviate the dependence to on unreliable power. At peak production the solar system produces 100% of the facilities daytime load, and the battery can run the operations for 5,5hrs during the day with solar and 2,5hrs without solar.
